Stacey Strongarone

As senior advisor & strategic plan manager, Stacey Strongarone is the Executive team lead for the implementation of Vera’s new strategic plan. She is responsible for general project management, leads strategic-plan-related internal communications, and provides thought partnership and support for Vera leaders implementing new processes with their teams. Stacey reports to Vera’s President & Director, and supports the Vera Leadership Team.

Stacey joined Vera in 2006. From 2018-2020, Stacey was director of Vera’s California office, overseeing all aspects of program development and operations in California. She was with Vera’s Center on Immigration & Justice from 2006-2018, where she served as deputy director managing programs related to access to counsel for people in immigration detention.

Originally from New York, Stacey relocated to Los Angeles in 2011. In recent years, she has been a member of the Liberty Hill Foundation's Community Funding Board and Change L.A. Host Committee, and received her coaching certification from Coaching for Transformation.

Before coming to Vera, Stacey worked on community outreach and education projects related to the criminal legal system and immigrant rights with La Raza Centro Legal and the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in San Francisco and The Center for Community Problem Solving at NYU. She received her BA from the College of the Holy Cross and her JD from New York University School of Law.
